About Us
We are a simple and welcoming family with a history rooted in farm work that's been going on for generations..
This business adventure was started by Signor Renato Gattari and his wife, Maria Luisa with the farmig of the lands around the homestead. Since 1990 their children, Giampietro and Rosita have dreamed to turn the old homestead into an agriturism. The enthusiasm for the success of this dream it's palpable when you talk with the Gattari siblings, who today run this business.

The young business owners gave the facility the symbolic name Nonno Girò, after the memory of their grandfather, who conveyed to them the love and passion for the land. In 2007, after many hardships and ongoing commitment, the dream became reality and today the entire family works in full harmony at the hospitality establishment, each member carrying out different tasks.
Giampietro Gattari, today the owner of the facility, manages the kitchen and the land. Maria Luisa handles the kitchen, the garden and looks after her granddoughters. Renato takes care of the animals and the garden and is a good grandfather. Rosita is involved with the cleaning and receiving guests. Francesca, the owner's wife, works at the restaurant hall.
Last, but not least, the future of the family and the business: Sara and Maria Gattari who keep everyone and everything in check .
Nature is not a place to visit. It's our home.

The Homestead
The origins of this homestead go back to the XIX sec. according to the historical data we possess and to the type of construction which is characteristic of the time. The facility was initially inhabited by a large patriarchal family of farmers.
Based of the type of construction we can distinctly recognise the different spaces the what use they had at the time. The cattle stable, the suine stable, the winery and the warehouses on the ground floor, while on the upper floor there are the rooms where the family lived. In fact, with the renovation, on the first floor we can find 3 microlofts, while on the ground floor there is a wide space for guest reception, and restaurant, in addition to the kitchen, the multipurpose hall and 3 minilofts.
Next to the facility there is a building originally use as a dryer, probably for tabacco, a colture farmed in the area in the early years of '900, Today this building has been renovated to obtain a comfortable house for the owner of the agricultural holding.
